Saphenous Vein Treatments
Most varicose veins and their symptoms are caused by underlying venous reflux in the saphenous veins. Our study, published in the Journal for Vascular Ultrasound, demonstrated this (‘Patterns of Venous Reflux in 1,027 Lower Limbs with Primary Varicose Veins.’ Journal for Vascular Ultrasound. June 2017) which was consistent with previously published data.
The saphenous veins can be treated without surgery using endovenous techniques, called endovenous ablation procedures. We offer all the available non-surgical endovenous ablation procedure options. This way, treatment can be customized to what is best for the patient, rather than what is available. Treatment options include radiofrequency ablation (RFA), laser ablation, mechanico-chemical ablation (MOCA or Clarivein), Varithena Foam and Venaseal.

Varithena® improves the symptoms of superficial venous incompetence and the appearance of visible varicosities. It is a non-thermal, non-tumescent, nearly painless method of vein treatment.
